It should be mentioned that Sri Lanka is a country where there was a 30 years civil war. But Sri Lankan forces have now defeated the LTTE terrorists completely. No LTTE attacks have been reported since the end of the civil war in 2009.
By now governments of the UK, US and Australia have downgraded their travel warnings. Tourists are no longer being advised not to travel to Sri Lanka. And an unfortunate incident occurred on 21st of April 2019 when a group of terrorists blasted bombs in nearly five places in Sri Lanka which brought death to many people. Somehow by now the situations has been cleared completely. While travelling you can seek for help from any Police officer or a officer of any forces in Sri Lanka.
The security has been uplifted to a good level and there is no reason for you to fear to travel in Sri Lanka now. It's better check your government’s advice before you travel.
While travelling it's better to be careful of following risks too.
