Surfing
Surfing is an activity done by many tourists who visit the palm fringed pristine beaches of Sri Lanka. The most popular surfing beaches in the country are Hikkaduwa and Arugam Bay. Hikkaduwa is in the southern coastal belt and Arugam Bay is located in eastern coastal belt. Sri Lanka has been popular among many foreign surfers for a long period of time.

Bentota
Beatota is a paradise, especially for windsurfers. The waves, the surf, blue waters, and the palm-fringed sandy beaches all bring about an exhilarating beach experience. It is also an ideal spot for amateur windsurfers.
Hikkaduwa
Hikkaduwa is a place where you can experience snorkeling, scuba diving, boat rides as well as surfing. The beach is extremely beautiful and it is a fine place for surfing.
Arugam Bay
Situated in the eastern coastal belt; Arugam Bay is a world-class professional windsurfing beach. It is often cited among the top 10 surf spots of the world.
Negombo
Negombo is a place where you are provided with the opportunity to surf throughout the year. This place is well suited for the beginners.
Mirissa
Mirissa is another ideal place for windsurfing. As Hikkaduwa, this is also a place where you can enjoy snorkeling, scuba diving, boat rides as well as surfing.
